Knighton village

The Knighton village conservation area was first designated in 1975 and covers the core of the old village of Knighton including Knighton Hall and its historic grounds and the Church of St Mary Magdalene.

The conservation area was reviewed in 2024 and the boundary extended to cover additional residential properties to the north and west. A Character Appraisal, Management Plan and map can be downloaded below.

The conservation area is covered by an Article 4 direction which removes permitted development rights for residential alterations. The Article 4 Direction has been in place since 9 October 2024. A copy of this can be downloaded below.
