Homes for Ukraine: information for sponsors
The Government has launched a scheme where you can provide accommodation for Ukrainians fleeing their country. Hosts will receive £350 a month in order to house Ukrainian refugees for a minimum of six months.
If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, or have already registered, read the government guidance online, which details the responsibilities of sponsors and how you may support your guests. You can also read the answers to frequently asked questions about how the scheme will work.
Find further details and register your interest through gov.uk/homesforukraine.
The role of the council
Leicester City Council will be providing wrap around support for arrivals under this scheme. A team of refugee support workers will work with arrivals to access relevant services and help people settle into life in the UK.
If you would like to speak to a council officer about your role as a sponsor, to ask questions or to join our Sponsor Support Network please email us at [email protected].
