HQ CAN Community Interest Company
HQ CAN exists to address the barriers many creatives face converting their craft into a profession. We are steered by our service users and reactive to their needs. Our ultimate goal is to develop the regional and national creative arts scene by enabling as many practitioners as possible to fulfil their potential.
About our UKSPF projectThe Leicester Music Board has been established to develop a ‘lifelong’ music strategy for the city, from early years music education through to professional industry careers. The partnership provides increased opportunities for collaboration that will support the growth of the music industry in the city and across the region.
The Board brings together organisations with a shared ambition to raise the profile of Leicester’s vibrant, diverse and exciting music scene, and to highlight the need for increased support and funding with funders and with the UK government.
Through their work they will contribute to national objectives to support a more inclusive and diverse music industry and a level-playing field for working-class people to access careers in the creative industries.
The Leicester Music Board are supporting the Leicester Music Conference and Festival 2025, building on the success of the inaugural event lead by HQ CAN in February 2024.
