Voluntary Action Leicestershire (VAL)

Voluntary Action Leicestershire's aim is to help people change their lives for the better, which is why we have created the Creative Futures project.

The Creative Futures project will support those in the LE3 area and the wider city to gain confidence and employability skills. VAL is working in partnership with The Highfields Centre and The Mighty Creatives (TMC) to offer a combined programme of employment support and a Level 1 and 2 arts award.

About our UKSPF project

This project will support young people to develop their knowledge, whilst utilising volunteering to gain practical skills and experience towards employability.

The Creative Futures project supports those aged 16-30 to upskill through weekly employability sessions, gaining a Level 1/Level 2 arts award (optional) and looking into their volunteering options.

The employability sessions include (but are not limited to) CV creation, cover letter creation, route planning, mock interviews and confidence sessions.

The arts award includes graffiti, street art, video creation, music, poetry and lots more.
