Futures’ purpose is to empower people, businesses and communities to achieve more.

About our organisation

We deliver a range of programmes across the employment, skills and careers landscape, with targeted support for the most disadvantaged groups to enhance their life skills and progress them into learning and work. A not-for-profit social enterprise, we are the prime provider for the DfE’s National Careers Service across the East Midlands with a longstanding presence in Leicester and partnership with Leicester City Council, where we’ve worked on the Leicester Employment Hub, Leicester Construction Hub and the Get Inspired Programme.

About our UKSPF project

Futures will deliver a programme of activities combining careers advice and guidance, employability support and entry-level non-regulated training for economically inactive people in Leicester. Activity is targeted towards priority groups, Long-term unemployed, 18-24, 50+, Black & Asian communities, Females and people with disability/health issues.

Our provision will be available citywide but focused on the following wards:

Our support for economically inactive individuals includes:​

  • Action Plan​
  • Activities to foster life skills, enhance personal development and independence​
  • Activities to improve participants employability​
  • Skills delivery, including life & basic skills, literacy/language, personal development, health & well-being, career & employability​
  • Hardship grants​
  • Progression Support
