The lives of women in this country have changed so much since we got the vote just over 100 years ago.

What is Women Talking, City Listening?

Life is continuously improving for women but there is still much more that needs to be done.

We were excited to be part of a project in Leicester that concentrated on having meaningful conversations with women, to better understand the issues they face today.

Women took part in lots of ways to share their thoughts – workshops, forums, interviews, surveys and more. We also invited comments on our consultation hub.

Funded by central government, the Women Talking, City Listening Project gathered information from women across the city between 2019-2020. This information has now been collated into a research report that has been presented to the city mayor and the government. You can find this attached at the bottom of this page. It outlines ways in which women can be better supported, as highlighted by you.
