Libraries Week

Libraries Week is an annual showcase and celebration of the best that libraries have to offer, and takes place in the first week of October. Each year a theme is chosen by CILIP that enables us explore the innovative and surprising things that libraries are doing to support their communities

Outreach can help people find suitable accommodation; access hostels and clothing; and offer advice on health access, benefits and housing. Staff can also accompany service users to appointments and interviews if required.

The service is based at the Dawn Centre, Conduit Street, Leicester. If you see a rough sleeper please contact us so we can see if we can help.

When is the service available?

Shifts are:

  • Monday to Thursday - 6am and 2pm
  • Fridays - 6am to 1.30pm.

Outreach team

Twilight shift:

  • Mondays to Friday - 1.30pm to 9.30pm

The outreach team also offer surgeries in the Y Advice and Support Centre, and the Anchor Centre in Dover Street. Number 5 on Hill Street offers a day centre and wet room facility for people with alcohol issues, which can be accessed by self-referral or referral from an agency.
