St Paul's

The St Paul’s conservation area is the most recent designation in the city, having been created in 2022.

The conservation area sits closely to the north of the West End conservation area and features part of the Victorian suburban expansion of the city out to the west. It stretches between the churches on Fosse Road Central and the Fosse Recreation Ground. 

We adopted the St Paul’s Conservation Area Character Appraisal and Management Plan in June 2022. All properties in the area are covered by an Article 4 Direction which limits the rights of property owners to carry out work to their properties without planning permission.
