The Church Gate conservation area covers the area from the Clock Tower in the south to Gravel Street in the north.

The conservation area was first designated in 2006 and incorporates Church Gate, East Bond Street and the Great Meeting House and its surrounds. Following a review a new Character Appraisal and Management Plan were adopted in September 2017 and can be downloaded below.
