Step Right Out

Protect others from second-hand smoke and Step Right Out when you have a cigarette

Step Right Out helps people to reduce the risk of second-hand smoke by encouraging people to Step Right Out and to smoke outside and away from the home.

No amount of second-hand smoke is safe and can, like smoking, can increase your risk of illnesses such as lung cancer and heart disease.

Second-hand smoke is especially dangerous for children, as they breathe faster than adults. This increases the risk of illnesses like asthma, coughs, colds and ear problems.

For very young children this can also increase the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

Sign up to Step Right Out and you will join thousands of others pledging to keep their homes and cars smoke free.

You will also:
  • Receive a FREE smoke-free kit delivered to your home
  • Resources and tips on how to keep smoke out of your home for good
  • Receive a monthly e-newsletter with the latest information on being smoke-free and updates about how your pledge has contributed to a Smoke-free Leicester
