Information for local communities

Leicester Safeguarding Adults Board (LSAB) works with partners to raise awareness across Leicester of what adult safeguarding is.

Information Sessions

LSAB offers ‘What is adult safeguarding?’ sessions for individuals and community groups in Leicester. These sessions can be run virtually or in person and explain what safeguarding means, how to recognise it, and how to get support. Regular sessions run throughout the year.

View sessions and book on Eventbrite.

To book an information session for your own community group please contact us.

YouTube videos

Short films for members of the public and people who work with adults with needs for care and support can be viewed on the Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland Safeguarding Adults Boards’ YouTube channel.

These films include animations to help adults understand and recognise what abuse, harm and neglect is and how to get help if they are concerned for themselves or someone else.

Information about safeguarding adults

If you work in an organisation and would like printed promotional material sending out to you, send us an email.

You can view and download the available leaflets and posters including information in different languages on our how to report abuse concerns page.

Tell us about your safeguarding experience

If you or someone you care for has been protected from abuse or neglect through the Leicester Safeguarding Adults Board would like to know about your safeguarding experience.

We would like to know about:

  • who you contacted
  • how you got help
  • what did they do?
  • did you feel listened to?
  • what worked well and
  • what did not work so well

If you are interested in finding out more, please see the leaflet at the bottom of this page.
